Wolong Panda Base is the hometown of giant pandas, located at the two sides of the Wolong ditch, the eastern part of Siguniang Mountain. Founded in 1963, it is one of the earliest reserves in China. It was approved in 1980 to join the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve Network, and the same year it cooperated with the World Wildlife Foundation to establish the China Giant Panda Research Center. Different from general Zoos, the Pandas here are in outdoor stocking. There are more than 100 wild giant pandas in the base, accounting for 10% of the total number in the country and thus Wolong is known as "Panda's villages" and "valuable biological gene bank".

The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a non-profit organization engaged in wildlife research, captive breeding, conservation education, and educational tourism. It was founded in 1987, with six giant pandas rescued from the wild. In 2008, the captive population has increased to 83 individuals from that founding population of only six. It covers an area of 106 hectares and will be enlarged to 200 hectares during the third phase of its expansion. Red pandas, golden monkeys and other wild and/or endangered species live and breed here.

Ya'an is located in the transitional zone of the edge of the Sichuan Basin and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, with the suitable natural conditions for the life of giant pandas. In the history, it is the native habitat of giant pandas, and also the world's first discovery place for giant pandas. Bifengxia Giant Panda Breeding Base was built in accordance with international requirements of the tourist products, with a total area of 1,000 acres. It is the largest giant panda protection base in China, and also a large integrated tourism base set with the giant panda breeding research, the wild reintroduction, education and eco-tourism.

Fuzhou Panda World is located at the Damengshan hill in the west of FuZhou. It is a Reserve for giant pandas transferring area integrating research, scientific education and sight-seeing besides Beijing and sichuan, and also a national base for scientific education fixed Location for teenagers' education, Fujian fixed tour unit. Fuzhou Panda world is composed of Giant Panda Palace "Panda Palace" "exhibition for bear families", "Giant panda Museum", Giant panda theatre Menshan butterfly palace and Giant panda villa at the Gulin Mountain 1000 meters higher than sea level.25Km to the Fuzhou downtown.

As Beijing’s landmark site, the over 90-year history makes Beijing Zoo one of people’s most favorite tourist destination. Thus, it is a good place to watch the panda. The panda enclosure is divided into two parts: the Olympic Panda Enclosure and the Asian Panda Enclosure. In the former one you can watch 8 lovely panders from Sichuan, and in the latter, you can watch wonderful pandas’ acrobatic performances.
