  • Shenzhen Port is one of the busiest ports in China, so Shenzhen Customs is one of the busiest Customs in China. Shenzhen Customs has been playing an important role in economic and social construction of China. Up to now, about 55% tourist inspection, 20% processing trade supervision, 30% express mail inspection, 9% tax collection, and 70% transportation tool supervision are carried out by Shenzhen Customs.
  • Shanghai Customs is the busiest customs in China. In recent years, the volumes of cargoes imported and exported, containers, collection of tax and customs declaration all occupy the first place in the country. Especially with the greater influence of Shanghai Port, its volume of imports and exports is on the increase year by year. From 1998 to 2002, the total value of cargos imported and exported increased with an average rate of 43.2% per year and the total collection of tax 69.8% per year.
  • Guangzhou Customs’ extent of jurisdiction includes Guangzhou City, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Yunfu and Heyuan, covering an area of 49% of Guangdong Province. There are 65 supervision offices in all, of which 51 cargoes supervision offices, 11 baggage and articles supervision offices, 2 express mail supervision offices and 1 intermediary supervision office.
  • Qingdao Customs’ extent of jurisdiction includes the whole Shandong Provinces. It includes 24 subsidiaries, 9 anti-smuggling branches and 20 departments. In 2009, the volume of cargoes imported and exported reaches 291 million tons with the total value of 199 billion dollars, occupying the fourth place in the country, and the fifth place for its 3.29 million customs declarations.
