Guangdong University of Business Studies was founded in 1983. Currently, there are 955 full-time teachers, in which, 200 are professors, 350 are associate professors, 257 are doctors and 535 are masters. Besides, the university has hired 64 famous foreign and domestic experts including the Nobel Prize winner of economics as part-time professors and visiting professors. The 3 main subjects of law, economics and management have entered into the “top 100” procession of national colleges and universities.

Currently, College of Economics, Jinan University has 165 teaching and administrative staff, in which, 128 are teaching and scientific researchers. In the teaching and scientific researchers, 35 are professors, 55 are associate professors; 40 are doctorial tutors, 58 are master’s tutors. The political economics major of this college was the first batch to have master’s degree authorization center in 1981.

Now, it has a mobile station for plutology post-doctors, a political economics and labor economics doctoral authorization center and 13 master degree’s authorization centers. It is an important research and personal training base of economics and management in south China and even the whole country.
