Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) is one of the prestigious universities in China which specializes in international studies and one of the key institutions of higher learning in Guangdong Province in South China. The University was established in June 1995 through the merger of Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Languages and Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Trade. The former, one of three institutes of foreign languages in that era (the other two being Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages and Shanghai Institute of Foreign Languages) under the direct jurisdiction of the State Education Commission (presently Ministry of Education), witnessed its establishment in the year 1965.

South China University of Technology (SCUT) is one of China's key universities operating under the direct leadership of the State Ministry of Education. The university, which has a total area of 294 hectares, is situated in Guangzhou, a southern metropolitan in China. The university has two campuses: The North Campus and the South Campus.

The predecessor of Jinan University is Jinan School, which was founded in 1906 by the Qing government in Nanjing. Then the university was moved to Shanghai. In 1927 it changed the name to National Institute of Jinan University. In August 1949, the university merged with Fudan University and the Jiaotong University. In 1958, the university was reconstructed in Guangzhou.

Guangdong University of Business Studies (GUBS) was established in 1983. As one of the key institutions of higher learning in Guangdong Province, GUBS offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in economics, management, law, English and Chinese literature, science and engineering which confer Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree, in addition to a second bachelor’s degree for law students.

Currently, Institute of Economics and Management, South China Normal University has 99 full-time teachers, in which, 8 are doctoral tutors, 17 are professors and 26 are associate professors. Now, it has a mobile station for plutology post-doctors, a political economics and labor economics doctoral authorization center and 13 master degree’s authorization centers. It is an important research and personal training base of economics and management in south China and even the whole country.
